It is the ISCSI-SATA RAID controller built around Raidstore innovative RAID/ISCSI stack. With 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports connected to the host, either working independently, trunking, or MPIO together, Raidstore lab data shows up to 40,000 IOPS by 512B block-size. The outstanding performance is produced by not only the highly optimized Raidstore stack but also strong computing power offered by Intel XScale IOP341. It supports SATAI/SATAII drives. Other useful features in previous products are also including such as RAID 6, on-line migration, Web-based management, snapshot and so on. Raidstore has certified it against VMware ESX server internally based on many customer requests quite recently. It requires customized backplanes for customers interested in design-in to existing chassis.

R-US-208i is the previous 2-port controller design-in silverback ISCSI offload chip along with Intel IOP331.
